History and philosophy

Tenuta Aurora covers more than 100 hectares of fertile land in Grotte di Castro, just a
few minutes from the picturesque Lake Bolsena. The unique microclimate and volcanic
soils of this region have made it an ideal place for olive cultivation for thousands of years
– even the Etruscans tended their olive groves here.

Today, we continue this tradition with passion: our work is devoted entirely to the olive
tree, its careful cultivation, and the artisanal production of an oil that embodies purity,
authenticity, and the highest quality. Our commitment is based on the strict guidelines of
the Demeter Association, which require compliance with the highest international
standards of biodynamic farming.

Our more than 15,000 olive trees are cared for by experienced staff. For processing, we
rely exclusively on our own mill – ensuring complete control, full transparency, and a
product with a unique character.
